Welcome to the Call the Shots website. We are a filmmaking organisation based in Coventry which is open to everyone and our aim is to encourage people to get involved in filmmaking. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a total newbie, you are welcome to come along to our monthly meetings.

Our meeting place is at the Warwick Arts Centre in the grounds the University of Warwick. We meet at the National Grid room which is just above the cinema and opposite the Mead Gallery and will usually be on the third Tuesday of the month at around 7.00pm.

We are always looking for people to get involved and all that we ask is that you have a passion for filmmaking and scriptwriting. The scripwriting workshops have now started, please see below for the date of the next one.

During this year we will be implementing a comprehensive training in subjects including scriptwriting, pre and post production and camerawork. So if you’re interested, now is the time to come along.

We are currently working on a number of new projects and will be putting up the results as and when they are complete, so make sure you check back from time to time. Also check out the latest articles – there’s bound to be something you will find of interest. Our 90 second scheme, which we run annually, is a great opportunity for newbies to learn the fundamental skills.

If you are already involved in any aspect of filmmaking, we would love to hear from you. We are also always on the look out for assistance in any form, such as financial, equipment, locations or just help on the shoots. Hope to see you soon at one of the meetings.
